Gymnasium Front Doors and Windows

We were commissioned to reproduce the main entry doorway and window trim for this gymnasium being renovated into residential condominium units. The entire complex is on the historic registry, requiring the outside of this building to be restored in a historically accurate manner.

All white trim and decorative elements are brand-new, reproduced for historical accuracy. Design decisions for accuracy were made by matching any remaining existing trim, old photos, and architects’ drawings. The only original component is the large flower at the top of the door arch, which was repaired.

Overall dimensions 8′ x 16′. Trim is 12″ wide. Trim and ornamental elements are made from galvanized steel and stamped and formed zinc elements, all fabricated and assembled in the same way as the original trim.
